1206F備有多個型號，可滿足將分別于2014和2015年實施的歐盟IV階段及美國4級最終期排放法規(guī)。

1206F系列為7升排量的6缸中冷發(fā)動機，可配備單級渦輪增壓器或串聯(lián)雙級渦輪增壓器，加上輕質(zhì)且尺寸緊湊的后處理組件，使這組裝尺寸更緊湊的發(fā)動機可輕易取代較大排量的同類產(chǎn)品。此裝置由柴油氧化催化裝置(DOC) / 柴油顆粒濾清器 (DPF) 容器和選擇性催化還原(SCR) 系統(tǒng)集成為一個綜合組件，而這組件可以安裝在機械的底座上，而不是在發(fā)動機內(nèi)，也可直接安裝在發(fā)動機的頂部。
